A spot of DIY & bargain hunting
Been busy with a spot of DIY and some bargain bin hunting.
The Portaflash digital slave was the best bargain I've had in a while, a mere ?3:47!
The hotshoe to 3.5mm adapter was made from an old flash gun, (took a hacksaw to it!)
Flash PC to 3.5mm adapter, (which is handy), was made from the old flylead PC connector from the aforementioned flash gun.
Took apart the USB video lead that came with the Olympus E-410 and made a 2.5mm adapter to utilise my old electronic cable release.
Made an umbrella mount for my Minolta eBay bargain flash and my DIY umbrella from a scrap of aluminium.
Finally, made a quick release plate for a tripod that was in perfect condition, (just minus it's plate), which was actually thrown away! "Another man's gold."
Why bother? Well it all cost me next to nothing and there's nothing more fun than making your own gear! :-)
Eight Point White-tail Buck Walking Down Stream
I only found one buck in the park today. I walked up on this guy minutes after entering the park. Sorry about the camera shake... wasn't standing in the best place.
